It has been a while dear Void, since I've had to bother you, but it is time.
I would like to know, why, dear Void, why my nap boycotting son refuses to sleep in. I'm all for dropping a nap or two, if that time gets tacked on to the following day's wake up call. Surely, he is missing that extra hour and a half of rest he used to get (I know I am). So why won't he just take an extra few minutes in the morning and hit snooze on his infernal, internal, alarm clock. It sure would go a long ways to making the castle a happier place to be these days.
Get back to me quick, will you!
Signed,
The nap-deprived Queen

Dear Void,
Seriously, Void, seriously?
You know I get a very limited time alone during the Royals' waking hours. So why then, oh Void, do they have to start in on some nonsense right when I sneak away for some much needed alone time? It's one thing when my alone time is on the computer or knitting, but when their nonsense interrupts my five minutes in the throne room?!?
C'mon, five minutes of peace, it's not too much to ask for, is it?
Wait, don't answer.
Signed,
The Queen

Dear Void,
Why, oh sweet Void, why, must the ice cream truck man drive around my neighborhood at dinner time?
Get back to me quick will ya, my kids are crying 'bout their mean mama.
Thanks.
Signed,
The [mean] Queen

Happiness Is . . .
. . . feeling emotionally and spiritually recharged and ready to deal with life again, despite being physically exhausted.
*****
I follow that with a question for the Void: How is it that my kids always seem to know when I've had a late (fun!) night . . . and choose the following morning to bless me with an extra early rising?!?! Why, oh Void, why??
